This Protein-Packed Cheeseburger is a satisfying cheat meal that doesn’t skimp on protein. Made with lean ground beef, cheddar cheese, and a whole wheat bun, it delivers a hearty dose of protein while still indulging your cravings. The combination of classic toppings like pickles, onions, and lettuce adds crunch and flavor, making this a guilt-free way to enjoy a burger.
Ingredients
150g lean ground beef (90% lean)
30g cheddar cheese, sliced
1 whole wheat hamburger bun (50g)
10g mayonnaise
5g mustard
10g ketchup
20g pickles, sliced
20g onion, sliced
20g lettuce
1g salt
1g black pepper
Instructions
Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Season the ground beef with salt and black pepper, then shape into a patty.
Cook the patty for 3-4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.
In the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese slice on top of the patty to melt.
Toast the whole wheat bun lightly for 1-2 minutes.
Spread mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup on the bottom bun.
Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun.
Top with pickles, onion slices, and lettuce.
Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
